Boise, ID – June 2025 — The Boise State University Rugby Program is proud to announce that Tom Keay has been named a D1AA All-American Flyhalf for the 2024–2025 season, a prestigious honor that recognizes the top collegiate rugby players across the country.
With this achievement, Keay becomes just the fourth player in Boise State Rugby history to earn All-American honors—cementing his legacy as one of the program’s all-time greats.
Known for his tactical brilliance, elite vision, and calm leadership under pressure, Keay was instrumental in leading the Broncos through a standout season. As flyhalf, he served as the on-field general—directing play, setting the tempo, and consistently creating opportunities for his teammates. His combination of smart kicking, crisp passing, and fearless defense made him one of the most well-rounded players in the division.
Head Coach Kyle Curry praised Keay’s work ethic and impact on the team:
“Thomas Keay is one of those rare players who makes everyone around him better. His sharp decision-making, and deep understanding of the game have been at the heart of everything we do as a team. He consistently steps up in big moments, leads by example, and brings out the best in his teammates. Thomas is the kind of player every coach hopes to have—he’s more than deserving of All-American recognition.”
Keay’s All-American nod not only reflects his individual excellence but also highlights the continued rise of Boise State Rugby on the national stage. With several key players returning and a foundation built on dedication and grit, the Broncos are primed for even greater success next season.
Congratulations to Tom Keay on this historic accomplishment—and thank you for representing Boise State with excellence, integrity, and heart
